Established in 2018, Beltap Capital is a boutique merchant bank and business advisor.
We help young, growing businesses to access new sources of funding and to properly prepare for any transactions they are planning to undertake – while providing advisory services on their operations.
Through our Fund Raising Services, we offer deal structuring, refinancing and debt advisory support. Navigating the fund-raising market can be incredibly challenging, particularly for those who are relatively new to it. Small start-up businesses and even experienced entrepreneurs can struggle to attract the interest of established banks and other capital-raising institutions, many of whom will not engage with “small” deals. Filling that gap, supporting young and growing businesses at a vital stage of their development, is precisely why Beltap Capital was created. Through our business advisory services, we provide a full back to middle office suite of personnel that provide businesses with a strong support platform to scale efficiently. Our services may include operational effectiveness, business process improvement and sales and marketing support.
In addition to this, we provide global access to multiple commodities, assisting both buyers and sellers.
Our Team
Danny Penfold
With over 15 years banking experience, Danny has demonstratable capital raising experience in the UK, Australia and S.E. Asia. Danny is responsible for the management of Beltap Capital, and implementing the Firm’s business strategy across Australia, Asia, US and Europe. With close ties in the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, Danny has established strong business links across the Asian region, covering corporate advisory, capital raising and commodity brokerage. Danny has acted as corporate advisor across multiple sectors, including, FinTech, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, Mining and Property. Danny has cultivated a broad skillset from his 15 years within Investment Banking, including providing traditional corporate and advisory services to clients, structuring and executing transactions, as well as leading internal strategic and organisational initiatives within the Companies he advises.
Danny is actively involved in Charity work and holds a Trustee position in Earthlabs, a UK registered Charity.
Katrina Ray
With more than 20 years experience in the disciplines of Sales, Customer Service, People management, Strategy Development and Customer Relations Management, Katrina has a suite of skills that include Call Centre operations and efficiency, business performance improvement, external stakeholder management, people leadership, operational management and Customer relations.
Recognised as having a high level of business acumen in addition to having outstanding interpersonal, leadership and strategic management skills. Katrina operates with a highly professional values based approach to the business, ensuring an exceptional high level of service is maintained.
Irene Kavooris
With more than 10 years experience in funds management and investment banking, Irene brings a wealth of experience to the team. Overseeing the team of analysts, Irene ensures a transaction is effectively and efficiently managed from start to finish. As a qualified accountant, Irene brings with her a deep knowledge of the accounting methodology required for all levels of services Beltap Capital provides.
